Qingqing Bubble reimagines an underground campus canteen once known as Qingqing Leisure Restaurant. Inspired by skylights reminiscent of submarine periscopes, the design aims to overturn the dark and oppressive impression of the former space. Conceived as an “oxygen mask” within students’ busy academic lives, the canteen offers a place to breathe, recharge, and enjoy moments of color and vitality.
The proposal emphasizes brightness and openness, a cohesive palette of materials, and a lively, youthful atmosphere in tune with campus life, while providing rational spatial organization to meet the needs of both students and staff.
